I was born and raised in California. I love it here. I especially love when this place I call home surprises me with beauty I would travel across the world to see. My client Angel suggested El Matador Beach as the location for her maternity session, and I was excited to shoot at the beach, but when I saw it was past my usual beach drive to Zuma I began to dread the travel. Especially when on the way to the beach it started to rain! When does it rain in Los Angeles?? BUT I was giddy when we I got my first look at this location. BEAUTIFUL. One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to to date. And then Angel shows up, looking gorgeous, and styled so beautifully. I am so thankful I got to shoot this and I didn’t let my lack of excitement for travel stop me. I would go here again in a heart beat!
